Hickory Small Animal Hospital has joined VetStreet's Pet Portal. This wonderful service allows clients to have access to their vaccine history online, refill medications over the internet, receive email reminders for appointments, receive birthday card via email for your pets birthday and also have access to educational material. Call one of our courteous staff and make sure we have your email address on file if you would like to take part in this wonderful service. You will receive a email invite in the next few weeks as the system goes live.

Drs Jason Farrell, Melissa McCormick and Anne Guedry have all joined the American Association of Feline Practitioners. They are the only AAFP veterinarians in Tangipahoa and St. Tammany parish.

We have broke ground on our new kennel addition today and expect the construction to take about 6-8 wks until completion. We will keep you updated on the progress and will be adding photos to the virtual tour as soon as it is done.

Another dog food manufacturer has issued a recall due to aflatoxins. The newly recalled foods are:
- Arrow Brand 21 percent Dog Chunks 40 lb. bag
- Arrow Brand Super Proeaux Dog Food 40 lb. bag
- Arrow Brand Professional Formula Dog Food 50 lb. bag
- Petrus dog food 21 percent Protein Dog Food 40 lb bag
