Dr. Jason Farrell graduated, with honors, from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1998. After S.L.U., Dr. Farrell attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine receiving his D.V.M in 2002. He has practiced on the northshore for 7 yrs before opening Hickory Small Animal Hospital. Dr. Farrell is also a part time instructor at S.L.U.. His goal is to offer the best veterinary care possible for your pets.

Dr. Melissa McCormick performed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University. She then went on to the L.S.U. School of Veterinary Medicine, receiving her D.V.M. in 1997. She has spent the past 13 yrs practicing locally in the Hammond area and is a new addition to our staff. Dr. McCormick's goal is to always treat her patients with the same care and compassion as with her own animals and to offer preventive care to keep those you love happy and healthy for as long as possible.

Dr Guedry received her Bachelor of Science from Nicholls State University. She then went on to L.S.U. School of Veterinary Medicine receiving her DVM in 1980. Dr Guedry was the first woman to serve on the Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine and served from 1994 - 1999. For 25 years Dr. Guedry has worked for the Louisiana Academy of Veterinary Practice offering continuing education for veterinarians.

Dr. Amanda Pittman graduated with honors from LSU in 2001 where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal, Dairy, and Poultry Science. She then graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Her first 7 years were spent in a small animal practice in Knoxville, TN and she has been practicing emergency medicine on the Northshore since moving back to LA in the summer of 2012. Favorite interests are small animal ultrasound, cardiology, physical rehabilitation, and dermatology. Her main goal is to provide exceptional medicine in a compassionate manner while also getting to know each of her patients and their owners.
